fill in the blank friday {15.}...

It has been far too long since I have filled some blanks (twhth)! I blame work. I mean honestly when 5 o'clock on Friday rolls around I just want to race out to the parking lot do a 'eff yeah it is Friday dance, and then worry about absolutely nothing for the rest of the evening. But, today the blanks won over my lack of motivation...

{1.} When I get a day to myself I like to spend the day by myself. I really enjoy my 'me time'. I will clean, read, watch crappy reality shows, and just relax.

{2.} High school was...a blast. I loved high school, well minus the times where I was a snobby mean girl. It was fun to be 16 with no responsibilities. However, when my reunion rolls around I will NOT be attending. I didn't love it THAT much.

{3.} A little dream I have is traveling all over the place. I want to go to New York, Europe, and everywhere else.

{4.} A big dream I have is to get my PhD and have Dr. in front of my last name. It WILL happen my friends.

{5.} If I could drive any car my pick would be a Passat? A BMW? A Prius? I honestly don't really know. I am happy with the car I have now, being that it was from my dad.

{6.} A time that I felt really and truly beautiful was um...never. I know that is probably an awful thing to say, but I cannot pinpoint a time where I thought, 'Dang. I am beautiful.' Don't judge.

{7.} Tomorrow I will...hopefully sleep in. Get together with Bff Jil to go see our friend Jen's new twin baby girls, read, and catch up on my DVR.

Alright, now it is YOUR turn to fill in the blanks! Make sure to go over to Lauren's blog to link up. Happy weekend fellow bloggers!

xoxo

fill in the blank friday {14.}...

All I have to say today is...IT. Is. Finally. FRIDAY! Which also means it is time to fill in some blanks. Enjoy...

{1.} Birthdays are basically the most important days on the planet. I mean really. I am 100% birthday obsessed. I think everyone should have what I like to call 'Birthday Week'...Gilmore style.

{2.} My favorite birthday memory was when I turned 16 and my two best friends at the time surprised me with tickets for us to all go see Blink-182. Which may sound lame now...but let me tell you...I was OBSESSED with them.

{3.} A birthday tradition I (or my family) has is we always have a family dinner where the birthday boy/girl gets to pick the meal, the cake, and whatever else.

{4.} If I had to choose one birthday meal to eat for the rest of my birthdays hence forward, I would choose the glorious chicken marsala that my big brother Jason makes. Plus the garlic bread with fresh mozzarella melted on it. I would top it off with a Sprinkles cupcake, obvi.

{5.} My birthday is on October 24th! Which means it is almost here...which means I will be 25...which means I will be OLD...which means I want to cry.

{6.} If I could take a birthday trip I would go to NYC with Bff Jil. We always talk about it, and NEVER do it. It would be a blast, that is for sure.

{7.} The best gift I've ever received for my birthday was the set of 'Scrappy Blocks' that Bff Jil made for me. Even though I know how to make them, the fact that she made them for me was fabulous. I appreciated them even more because I know how time consuming they are. Plus, she made them fit my personality perfectly AND included my favorite family/friend photos.

Don't forget to fill in your own blanks and then link up over at Lauren's blog! Have a great weekend blog pals!

fill in the blank friday {13.}...

It is Friday! Which actually means something to me now that I have a full time job. It means two blissful days of sleeping in, and floating in the pool. Praise-freaking-be! Now it is time to fill in some blanks...

{1.} The last thing I do before going to sleep is make a mental list of all of the things I have to do the next day. Yes, my brain is kind of crazy.

{2.}When I can't sleep I either read until I get REALLY tired, or I turn on the television for some background noise.

{3.} The first thing I do when I wake up is curse my alarm clock, check my texts, then pee.

{4.} When I'm tired I
get super bitchy. I am a girl who NEEDS eight hours of sleep, if I do not get it...I am NOT a happy camper. Or sometimes when I am deliriously tired I just laugh and have a giggle fit.

{5.} My dream bedroom would be totally funky and eclectic. I love light blues and greens, which would be the color scheme, maybe with some heather gray thrown in. I haven't really thought much about this. But I know the room I have now is my favorite place on the planet so...yeah.

{6.} If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be Stars Hollow.

{7.} The longest sleep I've ever had was
around 48 hours. When I was in the hospital in 2004 with meningitis, my body was EXHAUSTED and needed sleep. A LOT. My body needed to chill and try to heal itself.

{8.} I sleep on my
stomach. Which is another reason I never want kids. If I wasn't able to sleep on my tummy, I would freak out. For real.

{9.} When I sleep, I like to wear nothing. Sorry for the tmi my friends, but I like to sleep totally naked. It is SO comfortable. I love it. Try it sometime, if you haven't already done so. I am pretty sure it will change your life.

{10.} My bedtime is usually around midnight. Although, now that I am working full time I am trying to get into the habit of being in bed by 10, so I can get my full 8 hours of sleep. Thus far, the earliest I have been able to get to bed by is 11. It's a work in progress!

Have a fabulous weekend friends! If you fill in some blanks of your own, make sure to head over to Lauren's blog and link up!

fill in the blank friday {12.}...

Happy Friday! I just came across a very sad fact...this is my last Friday of doing nothing productive at all. I mean yay for me finally getting a job, but sad for my relaxing no work/school vacation. Alright, let's fill some blanks...

{1.} A very nostalgic place that reminds me of being a kid is Disneyland of course! I grew up going to The Happiest Place on Earth every single summer with the fam. Every time I walk through those gates I feel like I am a little kid all over again. I love it there.

{2.} If someone really wants to show me how much they love me they will know me. Does that sound dumb? They will listen to me and understand all my kinds of crazy. They will know when to leave me alone, and when to be there for me.

{3.} Lately I've been wondering a lot about what the future holds. I feel like I am finally getting started and living my life. It is scary but awesome all at the same time.

{4.} When it comes to saving money I am still learning. I mean I don't do the whole debt thing. I keep myself out of any and all debt. So if I don't have money I don't spend it, but if I do have it...I tend to spend instead of save. I am actively working on it though!

{5.} I'd prefer winter over summer any day! I hate Northern California summers. When it gets over 100 degrees I am basically over life as we know it.

{6.}I wish I knew how to make honey chipotle chicken crisper tacos, like the ones at Chili's. They are seriously tacos made by angels in Heaven. No lie.

{7.} I'm just waiting for it to be this evening so I can have a night out of awesomeness with the one and only Bff Jil! Dinner, shopping, and fro you?! Yes, please!

Have a great weekend everyone! Make sure if you fill some blanks of your own to go over and link up at Lauren's blog!

fill in the blank friday {11.}...

It is Friday...we all know what that means...time to fill some blanks...

{1.} This weekend for The 4th of July I'll be hanging out in the pool, trying not to die from the 105 degree weather, having dinner with the family, and then watching my pyromaniac brother do fireworks with our niece. Good times.

{2.} Fireworks are Meh. I hate the loud ones, and am afraid I am going to blow myself up with the sparklers. I pretty much should not be able to play with any fireworks other than those stupid black worm things.

{3.} Nothing says summer like floating in the pool, listening to summer hits, and drinking a slushee (with or without booze in it).

{4.} My favorite summer memory is the time my brother Jon-than and I decided it would be a genius idea to nail a sprinkler to the side of the barn, cover our trampoline in dish soap, and proceed to have a very bouncy slip (jump) and slide. It was awesome.

{5.} My favorite thing about summer is swimming with my niece Bug. I love the water, she loves the water, we pretend we are mermaids, I throw her, she jumps. We pretty much have a blast. In case you cannot already tell...I am REALLY in love with swimming.

{6.} Summer in a word is hot.

{7.} If I could choose to have summer or winter year round I'd pick winter. But only Northern California winter, where it NEVER snows. I hate the snow. I also hate the 120 degree summers we are blessed with. Ick.

Now it is your turn! Fill in some blanks of your own, in the comments section or on your blog. Don't forget to go over to Lauren's blog and link up!

Have a fun (and safe) fourth of July weekend!

fill in the blank friday {10.}...

Why hello Friday! I am SO pleased to see you. It has been a LONG week. Can I just say taking care of a five year old for a week straight is exhausting? I applaud all of you who are parents *applause*. I have NO clue how you do it. Anywho...it is time to fill some blanks! Make sure to head over to Lauren's blog and link up.

{1.} If I could choose my last meal it would be chicken marsala made by my big brother Jason. Seriously, you have not lived until you have dined on that deliciousness. Then I would top it off with a vanilla Sprinkles cupcake. Can we say foodgasm?

{2.} My favorite person to share a meal with is Bff Jil because, she is legit, duh. But, in all seriousness, no one appreciates food like Bff Jil and I do. I mean we plan our outings/trips/lives around when/where/what we are going to eat. Plus, she is hilar and we always have a blasty blast chatting it up, in between stuffing our faces. Holler.

{3.} The best meal I've ever had was the first time I dined on fried pickles at Hooters. Do. Not. Judge. Me. Hooters has delicious wings AND fried pickles may sound trashy, but I embrace the trashy. Just love me through it.

{4.} The one food that makes me feel instantly better when I'm having a bad day is a blue slushee. Okay, so a slushee may not technically qualify as a food, and blue may not be a flavor, but in my world it works. Rain or shine a blue slushee will lift my spirits like nobodies business.

{5.} My absolute specialty in the kitchen is avoiding anything related to the cooking process. Really, it is a gift. I am a super sleuth at staying far away from that room when it is meal time. Um, have I mentioned I despise (and suck at) cooking?

{6.} The city that has the best food is San Francisco because there are a million hole in the wall places that are delicious AND affordable. They have amazing bakeries, and seafood that is to die for. It is as close to culinary perfection as any city can be.

{7.} My favorite healthy snack is an apple. I eat an apple a day, it unfortunately does not keep the doctor away, but it tastes delicious.

{8.} In my opinion the nationality which has the best food is the Italians, duh. I must stick with my people! We have pizza, pasta, bread...what other food groups do you need? Yeah...none.

{9.} If I could learn to cook anything in the world (and be really good at it!) I'd choose decadent french pastries. I would KILL to be a fabulous pastry chef. Clearly, I just want some magnificent tarts in my life.

{10.} The most outrageous dessert I've ever had was the glory also known as, a Sprinkles cupcake. I mean, some may say they are WAY overrated...but they happen to be the most amazing cupcakes on the planet. Although, the white chocolate fondue at The Melting Pot is pretty damn good as well.

Have a great weekend folks! I plan on doing nothing but floating in my pool and trying to avoid the triple digit temperatures we will be having in Cali this weekend.

xoxo

fill in the blank friday {9.}...

Holllller. It's Friday. Finally. Okay, really who am I kidding? I have done absolutely nothing ALL week long. Well nothing besides take care of my poor hurt mama, catch up on movies and TV shows with my new love Netflix, hit up the gym like a mad woman, and job hunt. Fun. Not really. But would you like to know what is fun? 'Fill in the Blank Fridays'! It has been far too long since I have participated in this activity so let's get going...

{1.} The best thing about being in school was/is being able to ditch if I wanted. I could go or not go, which was not an option in high school. So once I got to college I was ALL about skipping a class or three.

{2.} The worst thing about being in school was/is the INSANE amounts of homework. I swear you hit college and the professors think that their class is the ONLY class that is of importance, so they decided to bury you under textbooks and notes. Srsly.

{3.} My favorite subject in school was/is English, Creative Writing, and Poetry. I should have been an English major. Why the heck did I choose Psychology? Sam, we are SO twins on this answer.

{4.} One subject I wish I could have mastered/would like to master is a foreign language. Ideally I would love to speak Italian (because I am Italian) but learning Spanish would be more practical and helpful while on the job hunt.

{5.} I could never get tired of studying Women's Issues. I did my minor in Women's Issues and I loved it. Every class I took about this subject was fascinating.

{6.} The most memorable teacher I had was Mr. Del Real. This one goes back to the high school days. He was my drama teacher all through high school, and my Honors English teacher my senior year. He was so inspiring, passionate, and hilarious. He was the one who got me involved in politics, he helped me find my voice...and I pretty much haven't shut up since then!

{7.} If I could choose between going to school for the rest of my life or working for the rest of my life, I'd choose um...I am not sure about this one. Since I just got done with school a few weeks ago, and have yet to start a career of any sorts I have no answer yet. Although, the Big Girl World kind of scares me, and school is my 'safe place' so we shall see...

Happy Friday everyone! Have a great weekend, and if you want to fill in some blanks of your own, make sure to head over to Lauren's blog and link up!

fill in the blank friday {8.}...

I am very much in love with the theme for this weeks 'Fill In The Blank Friday'. It is all things movie related...and I am a total movie fanatic! Thanks again to the lovely Lauren who comes up with these every single week. Make sure to check out her blog 'The Little Things We Do' and then link up!

{1.} My absolute favorite movie of all time is a tie between 'Across the Universe' and 'Silence of the Lambs'. This questions is SO difficult...it is like asking someone to pick a favorite child.

{2.} My favorite movie as a child was 'The Little Mermaid' hands down. My mom says that I talked her into taking me to the theatre 5 times to see it. Then when it came out on VHS (old school, holla)I watched it every single day for years.

{3.} The best movie quote ever is "I ask this... If there should be an assassination, I would hope that five, ten, one hundred, a thousand would rise. I would like to see every gay lawyer, every gay architect come out - - If a bullet should enter my brain, let that bullet destroy every closet door... And that's all. I ask for the movement to continue. Because it's not about personal gain, not about ego, not about power... it's about the "us's" out there. Not only gays, but the Blacks, the Asians, the disabled, the seniors, the us's. Without hope, the us's give up - I know you cannot live on hope alone, but without it, life is not worth living. So you, and you, and you... You gotta give em' hope... you gotta give em' hope." It is from the movie 'Milk' about the life of Harvey Milk.

{4.} My favorite actress is Kate Winslet. She is fabulous and can pull off any role. I adore her. My favorite actor is
Anthony Hopkins. He is perfection.

{5.} The movie I could watch over and over is
'Steel Magnolias'. I have seen in a bazillion times and it never gets old. I love it so bad.

{6.} My favorite movie genre is musicals, duh! People breaking out into song whenever the mood strikes? Um..yes please!

{7.} A movie I'd like to watch this weekend is 'It's Complicated', I love me some Meryl Streep. I actually just purchased the movie and WILL be watching it this weekend. Yay!

Now it is your turn! Let's discuss our favorite movies in the comments section!

Oh Friday...I am SO glad you are finally here. Have a fabulous weekend my loves!

fill in the blank friday {7.}...

It's time for 'Fill in the Blank Friday'! I love these lovely little end of the week posts! Make sure to do your own fill in the blank post and then head on over to Lauren's blog to link up! On we go...

{1.} The first thing I do in the morning is make my bed. I cannot fully start my morning until my bed is made. Yes, I do know that I am slightly OCD. I have learned to embrace my crazy.

{2.} Every night before bed I read. It calms me down...and helps make me sleepy.

{3.} My favorite thing to do when I'm having a bad day is
to turn on some angry music and sing at the top of my lungs all while dancing it out.

{4.} Something that makes me cringe is
when people use racist terms. It makes my skin crawl and is just awful.

{5.} Social situations
are fun! I like meeting new folks, or hanging out with folks that I already know. I can pretty much talk to anyone, so I am good.

{6.} I like to collect anything that is flamingo related. I have a love for all things flamingo. Why? No clue. But I l-o-v-e them so bad. I embrace the tacky.

{7.} Weekends are for catching up on homework unfortunately. But they are also when I get to spend time with my niece so that is always a fabulous thing.

Have a fabulous weekend lovey dolls!

fill in the blank friday {6.}...

It has been so long since I have participated in Fill in the Blank Friday! Join me in filling these blanks, either in a post on your own blog or in the comments section. Then head on over to Lauren's blog and link up! Here we go...

{1.} The strangest thing I've ever eaten was deer? I am so not a weird food eater. I am not big on trying new things. I know what I like, and I like what I know. Yes, I am aware that makes me boring.

{2.} My best friend is not just one person. My bffs are kind, funny, supportive, and the loves o' my life.

{3.} If I could live in a different era it would be if I HAD to switch eras I would say the 60s...if only for the epic music. Although, I am partial to the era I live in now. My inner-feminist would die in any other time.

{4.} I like when I find people who love TWSS jokes as much as I do. I mean they pretty much make my life.

{5.} If you only know one thing about me it should be that when I get mad, like REALLY mad, I give warnings that people need to drop it. If they don't I get really vicious with my words. Not the most attractive trait, but it's how I do.

{6.} My favorite book of all time is The Bell Jar tied which is tied with The Harry Potter Series.

{7.} The one beauty product I couldn't live without is my cocoa butter lotion. I love it so bad...and my skin would be sick and dry without it. No bueno.

{8.} Blogging is amazing. I adore this little blog o' mine. It is fun, a good outlet, and I have met SO many amazing people through blogging.-

{9.} If I could star in a movie with any actor/actress I would want to work with Robert Pattinson, duh! Is that even a question? It is not because he is a stellar actor...because we all know he is not. But I would love to get all makey outey with him( and by 'get all makey outey' I totally mean 'nail him to the wall'). Amen.

{10.} One of the best feelings in the world is being surrounded by the people you love. There really is nothing that tops that.

xoxo

fill in the blank friday {5.}...

It's that time once again. You know...the time to fill those blanks! It is also the time where midterms are finally O-V-E-R and spring break is here. Which hopefully means that I will not be a terrible blogger for at least the next week....here is hoping. Make sure you fill in some blanks of your own and then head on over to Lauren's blog to link up... {1.} The best day ever was the day that my niece was born. It was the day that I realized what true, true love really was. In case you haven't gotten the clue yet...she is my favorite person on the planet.

{2.} My favorite meal of the day is breakfast because almost ALL breakfast food is delicious. Waffles, eggs, bacon, and the love o' my life also known as oatmeal.

{3.} This weekend will be blissfully boring. I am home alone (which is my favorite thing ever) and I have nothing to do but read, scrapbook, and have dance parties in my unds. Word.

{4.} Never in my life have I eaten sushi. And by sushi I mean the raw fish stuff not the actual cooked stuff. Sorry but it sicks me out in a way I cannot even begin to describe. No thank you.

{5.} The only thing better than Sprinkles Cupcakes are a dozen Sprinkles Cupcakes.

{6.} I could really do with some sunshine. I am kind of over California being dreary and rainy all the time.

{7.} The most recent thing I bought myself was lotion and deodorant. Yeah. My life is exciting.

Happy Friday lovey dolls. Have a fabulous weekend...full of dance parties in YOUR unds. Trust. It is legit.

fill in the blank friday {4.}...

Here is another slacker post from me to you. Okay, really it isn't REALLY slacking...I actually love these posts. So it is a post full of love from me to you...okay? Okay...

{1.} When I'm nervous I talk 90,000 WPM (words per minute. Holla, Gilmore Girls).

{2.} My favorite item in my closet is my charcoal gray peacoat. I l-o-v-e it so bad.

{3.} Hanging out on my bed, reading a good book, with a mocha in hand, is my favorite thing to do when I need to relax.

{4.} My favorite childhood memory is playing 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles' with my big brother Jon-than. He was Raphael, I was Michelangelo.

{5.} Something you may not know about me is I am not nearly as strong or brave as I pretend to be. Some think I am heartless, when in reality I am scared.

{6.} A true friend is someone who accepts you for who you are. Someone who may not 'get' you, but tries. Someone who can make you laugh and cry. Someone who is as good as family. Someone who tells you like it is, even if it isn't what you want to hear!

{7.} Something I hope people think of when they think of me is, Man! She has a killer rack...(yes, that WAS a joke).
Have a fabulous weekend loves!

fill in the blank friday {3.}...

Am I aware I have been a super slacker blogger as of late? Yep, I pretty much am. But hey life has been busy and I am going to be a slacker for another day. I love this fun feature over at Lauren's blog. Now for the filling of the blanks...

{1.} If I could medal in an Olympic event it would be the hardcore event of 'avoiding watching the Olympics'. Yep that is correct my friends, I despise the Olympics. Love me through it ok?

{2.} If I was stranded on a deserted island I'd take sunblock, Robert Pattinson & a cell phone. So that when I was done having Rob apply my sunblock I could call for someone to pick us up and drop us off at his hotel. Holla!
{3.} Mice are my most irrational fear.

{4.} I'd rather drive my 45 minute commute to campus everyday, than live in the crazy party town where campus is located.

{5.} I am excited about going to look at an ADORABLE house Bff Jil is considering buying!

{6.} I should really be doing my homework. I have been a slacker pretty much all week long.
{7.} One of my favorite things in all the world is singing and dancing to Taylor Swift with my niece. We scream, dance, and laugh. It is the definition of joy.

Happy Friday loves!

fill in the blank friday {2.}...

I loved doing this last Friday! So, I am thinking that it will become a regular thing over here at 'Always Alexandria'. Thanks to Lauren for this fabulous idea! Make sure to go and check out her cutespice blog! Now for the filling of the blanks...twss...sorry I cannot help it. I am thinking I may have twss-tourettes. Moving on...

{1.} If I had two hours to myself today, I'd watch 'The Bad Girls Club' and then 'Teen Mom'. Those shows are my guilty pleasures.

{2.} If I could travel anywhere today, I would go to Italy. I want to experience it's beauty and meet my people. Aka...the crazy Italians.

{3.} The day that my niece was born is my happiest memory. I have never felt a love as powerful as the first time I held that little bundle of beauty.

{4.} Sometimes you're on top of the world other times you're at the bottom. I have realized both things are okay.

{5.} Beauty is being able to see the good in the bad.

{6.} I would be embarrassed if anyone knew that I go through kicks where I love playing The Sims. I cannot believe I just admitted that.

{7.} Love at first sight is something I do not believe exists romantically. I do however know that the minute I laid eyes on my niece that I loved her more than my own life.

These posts make my OCD spaz out. I hate the fact that there are only 7 of these fill-in-the-blanks! Why 7?! Why not 5? Or 10? Oh well. I hope all you lovey dolls have a fabulous weekend!

xoxo

fill in the blank {1.}...yep...twss...

One thing I really love about blogging is stealing ideas from other bloggers who are far more awesome than I. Okay...so I am not really 'stealing' being that permission was granted to all who wanted to play along with 'Fill In the Blank Friday'...and I am ALL about filling of the blanks *ahem*.

So, I meandered over to Simply Sam and she had this cute little feature up, that she had borrowed from The Little Things We Do...

I decided I wanted to play along...so hopefully some of YOU do as well.

{1.} If I weren't a psychology major I'd love to be an English major.

{2.} When I'm super upset I go to my room and turn on some bad ass music and I dance it out .

{3.} My favorite thing about myself is my ability to stand up for what I believe in and speak up for what I feel is right .

{4.} If I found a $100 in the pocket of last winter's coat I'd spend it on my textbooks for the semester .

{5.} Even though some people might consider this a flaw, I love my control freak ways. They help me stay uber-organized and keep me productive.

{6.} I love the way I feel when I spend time with my niece. Playing with her and seeing the world through the eyes of a four year old is beautiful .

{7.} I love my hair most when it's beaten into full submission by my flat iron. Srsly. The curls are hard to smooth. When I am successful it is a glorious VICTORY!

Yay, for blanks being filled! Feel free to 'blog borrow' this...make sure to let me know if you did so I can read YOUR answers! Happy Friday lovey dolls!

xoxo
