This weekend I decided I was going to get stuff together to decorate my new office at work (Okay...I have had it since January 3rd, but I have been busy and haven't had time to decorate. For shame!) I have a pretty spacious office...it has two desks in it, but no one uses the second desk. Basically it is a pretty blah space at the moment. I decided the best thing to start with is a picture collage. I mean what is better than pictures of those that we love to perk up a space? Nothing, in my humble opinion. So, I started to peruse my picture archives and I put together quite a lovely collage. As I looked at my finished product I examined it and felt so blessed. Why? i am thankful {2.}...

Last year I did a post in December...about Thanksgiving. In case you all are not aware, Thanksgiving is in November. I was a slacker. However, it is only three days after The Day of Thanks and I am blogging about it! Goooooo me! My turkey day post from last year, is one of my all time favorite posts. I am thankful for being able to spend an enormous amount of time with two of my favorite ladies. My mama and Bug are the loves of my life...

I am thankful that Jordan is being schooled in the ways of knitting. By 'schooled' I mean driving Christina crazy by asking her what every single thing in that bag is. I am also thankful she put ALL of Bastina's knitting tools back where they belong. That could have been a nuclear meltdown had something gone missing...

Day 1-Your Best Friend...

So...this is a simple one, it is also one where I am going to break the rules. But whatevs. I have TWO best friends, no I cannot pick between them. Bff Jil is an honorary member of my family (lucky her). I see her pretty much every single day, we have a fake lesbian relationship, she is basically legit. End of story.

This is Fabi. We have been besties since forever...like 10 years. We were inseparable until she got married a year after high school and moved to Arkansas where her hubs was stationed (they are now located in Alaska). It sucks that she is so far away, but we have stayed super close. I love her bad.

Day 1 of the 30 day challenge? Piece. Of. Cake.

boardgames, girl talk, and ice cream sundaes! oh my...

Last Monday Bff Jil and I were chatting and decided that it was time for a girls night in. It had been FAR too long since we had a girls night, well not that long, we all did just go see 'Eclipse'...but whatevs. We planned that we would test out 'Twilight Scene It' and make some super scrumptious ice cream sundaes! Here is what we did...

Basically we just had a blast. What did YOU all do this weekend? Please, share! Also, feel free to make fun of us for playing a 'Twilight' themed boardgame...love us through it!

wise words wednesday {6.}...

So, to state the obvious it is Wednesday. Which means I am on day 3 of The Job. It also means Big Girl World kind of sucks and makes me long for the days of a college classroom. I mean it isn't that bad, it is just crazy hectic with all that I have to learn. I also can't go into too much detail about The Job, being that it is in the mental health field most of the information is pretty much confidential (no seriously. i spent like two hours this morning trying to find a key that would open one of the file cabinets so I could lock up some files. this box had over 60 keys...not one of which worked.)

Things of note that have happened so far:

-A woman in the office wrote, "My office has a infestation of aunts" on the 'Problems With Solutions' bulletin board. *facepalm*

-I got asked out in group last night. It went like this, "Hey, my wife is leaving me. Do you wanna go out sometime?" Um. No dice.

-I received my official county worker badge to wear around the office and I actually look decent in the picture! Holler.

-I said the 'F' word in front of my boss. Three times.

-I got my very own office. Which is good and bad. Good because I have my own space. Bad because it is a woman's office who is off on sick leave until September, and she will hate me when she comes back and sees some 'kid' has her office and she is left without one. Also bad because it is SUCH a cluttered over decorated space that it makes my OCD freak. Hopefully, I can slyly move and organize all of her crap without anyone getting pissed.

-I came home from a LONG day at work to find this cute little fella hanging out on my laptop...

Bastina made him for me, and left him as a surprise when she was over here doing laundry today. I knew at once that it was a cupcake, and that I must name him 'Sprinkle'. In my world no other cupcakes exist. Yes, I did say HIM. Sprinkle is a boy who likes pink. Don't judge him...

Now it is time for the wise words...

I am 24 years old. I am just getting started with my life. I have no idea how it will go, or where I will end up. That is the fun of life, right? The one thing I do know? I want to be happy.
