it's the great pumpkin patch charlie brown...

Well..it is official. I am as old as the dirt itself...the big 2-4 came and went...and while I seriously am not cool with the fact that I am thisclose to 25...I did have a low-key but fabulous birthday! I have a lot of pictures...so I am going to break my birthday up into two posts...a day post and a night post. Fun right? Right!

I live in Northern California in the middle of the sticks...we don't have much in the ways of entertainment...so we go to The Pumpkin Patch...and it is actually pretty fun. Especially for the kids (no not MY kids, although little Jimmy Choo was there to shield my eyes. i am talking about my niece and Jil's nephew)...yep two whole kids out of a group of eight...it was SO for the kids...

Now for my pictures (and yes I did just upgrade to premium on picnik...and i heart it bad)...

wow. it is an 'Always Alexandria' first. a picture of my lovely brother Jon-than and I and he is NOT choking me in it...although looks like he just got our niece to do the dirty work for him...

um. hi. this is THE most adorable thing ever. i think that Jordan & Jacob (friend o' the blog Jilian's nephew) are destined to be bff's...they are 100% partners in crime...

my mom always looks pissedspice in pictures. she was having fun though...i will swear to it.

i always believed this little girl to be the clumsiest child on the face of the earth...until I started being around Jacob more...just as this photo was being snapped Jil and I were placing bets on which kid was going to face plant first...I said Jordan, Jil put her money on Jacob...

if you look REALLY close you can see who won that bet...way to head your bets Jil...

as mentioned in a previous post...California girls will wear flip-flops in a flood if it came down to it. case and point. all three of us in a muddy, viney, pumpkin patch rockin' the flops...we rock at life ladies...

i love Jil's mom. Diane is the sweetest lady i have ever met...here she is managing the children while her daughter was off being highly inappropriate...

yep. she went there. and let me be the first to say that i love her for it...she was looking for one that was juuuussst right....

looks like she found it. this right here is reason #3,972 why we are friends...

after all of that running (and falling) the little man needed a little power nap to rejuvenate his crazy boyness...

man o' man i love this kid (oh and i AM talking about my niece, not my sunglasses. just to clarify). if you are wondering if she is saluting the flag...she wasn't. she was seeing how many 'heart-booms' she was having...

so there was this tire full of corn for the kids to play in. why that is supposed to be fun...don't ask...but the kids enjoyed it...and by kids I mean my brother Jon-than. more specifically he liked throwing unsuspecting adult victims into it...such as my mom...

and Bastina Balicious. Jacob then proceeded to fill her shirt with corn...see he really did need that power nap to recharge his boyness...

last but not least....our pumpkin haul. yes, we purchased quite a few. $30 bones worth to be exact...but they look so pretty on the porch...
Overall a fun start to the birthday...I love me some pumpkins!
Okay...do tell...how did YOU spend your Saturday?

Always with the dirty mind...yup I own it! Oh but you DID fail to mention that YOUR MOTHER was the one who said find a bigger one and get a thumbs up picture!! LOL Love her for that! Oh and did I also tell you I went back on Sunday for MORE pumpkins? Yep I did.. If I could, I'd show you my super cute fall decorations... like if I could post a pic. (you've already seen 'em) Ya and those two kiddies.. most adorable kids ever I must admit!

Haha! That looks fun and hilarious! And as for the tire full of corn? I would TOTALLY play in it.

In response to your lovely comment on my blog:

No I have a crush on Mr. Martin. True story, ever since I read his novel Shopgirl, I thought, I could go for an older man ;-)

If you haven't read it, you should.
