the other shoe...

I have something to admit to you all. I absolutely ADORE Tori Spelling. Yep, you read that correctly, I l-o-v-e her. Her character was my favorite on the OG 90210, and I am obsessed with her reality show 'Tori and Dean'. I have now read both of her books, I just finished up 'Mommywood' (which was FABULOUS but not quite as good as 'Stori Telling').

Okay so now that my confession is out of the way, I need to get to the point of this post. In the last chapter of the book Tori writes,

"I've come far, but my life came together so quickly that sometimes I still feel like I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop. I can't believe how fortunate I am, and I worry that my perfect little dream will burst and everything will fall apart. I have to remind myself that the life I'm living isn't really a miracle. I have worked hard for what I have. I continue to work every day to sustain what we have and to make it better. But if things change, I'll weather it. I have my family and my friends to help me through it. And besides, this whole "other shoe" business--who ever said that the other shoe was a bad thing? Two shoes? Sounds good to me. Especially if they're Christian Louboutin."

Amen. I find myself constantly waiting for the other shoe to drop...but now I will look at that shoe as the other half of a pair of those gorgeous red soled heels and think, "Um...let the shoe drop! I am going out dancing."

Wise words from Ms. Spelling.

xoxo

wow. that is such a great quote. Sometimes I get paranoid that something bad is just waiting to happen to me, because i have a supportive family, an amazing relationship, and have been successful so far in life...even though I have worked SO hard to get here and have made some tough decisions. It is definitely important to realize you deserve what you have, and not to worry about what might happen because you'll deal with it and be ok.

Ahhhh I miss 'Tori and Dean'...esp when she was preggers and kept asking the doctor stupid 'if i push too hard when i poop will the baby pop out' questions!! I need to revise my channel options, asap. For real this time.

And I want some Louboutins - BAD. I'd totally settle for knock offs too.

Dear Alexdria,

You are now my most current girl crush! I SO love Tori Spelling. I think she is as sweet as she seems on her show with Dean, Monkey, and LadyBug...yes, I watch the show!

I don't care if the shoes (the ones I wear or those that fall) are designer, just as long as they don't make my old, tired, teacher feet gnarl up in pain!

:) Hugs, Lisa

I've seen about two episodes of her show and loved it! Maybe I should give her book a try too.

Also, that green dress she's wearing is gorgeous!
