question and answer...

So...remember when I was kind of an entertaining blogger? You know. The good ol' days when school and crazy life business didn't get in the way of me being able to bring you a post at least four times a week? Yep. Those were fun times. I was struggling today with what to write about. I want to get back into the regular habit of blogging...and then it clicked! I need to do a 'The Book of Questions' post! Are you new around here? Well here is the introductory post...you can read that and then click on the 'Book of Questions' label at the bottom of this post if you are so inclined to see ALL of these posts. On we go...

And I flipped the book to...
Question #45: Someone very close to you is in pain, paralyzed, and will die within a month. He begs you to give him poison so that he can die. Would you? What if it were your father?

Answer: Um. Well that is a feel good question if I have ever heard one. It is times like this when I wish I could break my own rule and flip to a different question. But alas I am a control freak...and I must abide by the rules...

This is a tough question. It is like 'Million Dollar Baby' tough (have you all seen that movie? um. devastating). I fully believe in doctor assisted suicide. I think it is a persons right to choose, while in the right mind set, if they would want to live or die if they are in a medical situation such as the one in the question. I personally would not want to live in pain, and be paralyzed in bed for a month or months on end. That is MY opinion on that.

However, when it comes to doing that for someone else...I do not think I could do it. I do have a little experience in this area. As many of my blog friends know, my dad passed away from cancer in November. During the last two weeks of his life he was in a hospital bed at home, where he couldn't move, eat, or really speak. It was shocking to see this once boisterous ball busting man diminished to 70-something pounds. He was in pain despite the medication. It was a horrible thing to see. All any of us wanted to do was to make the whole ordeal be over as quickly as possible. If I would have been brave enough I maybe would have considered helping him pass, but as it was the only thing I could do was kiss his forehead and whisper to him, "Dad, we are all here. We love you. It is okay to go. Please go. It's okay now."

There is no chance that I could have ended his life for him, even if he was able to beg me to do so. Did I want his pain to end? Of course. But I just could not live with the knowledge that I had done such a thing. All I could offer to him were those simple words. Therefore, since I wouldn't be able to do it for my own father, I most certainly would not be able to do it for a stranger.

Wow. That was heavy. At least for me it was. Alright, now for the best part! Let's have a discussion in the comments section...what is YOUR answer to this question? Please share!

xoxo

question and answer...

I was having some issues trying to pick something to blog about. I have been in a bit of a blogging slump as of late. Then it dawned on my that I had completely abandoned my ' The Book of Questions' posts. Do any of you even recall those? They have been around since the beginning of this little blog o' mine. Since I have quite a few more followers then I had the last time I wrote one of these posts, click here, here, here, here, here, here, here, and finally here. Now you should be all caught up...and exhausted from all of that clicking.

Alright, *drum roll while I flip through the book*...

Question #67: Would you risk your life for someone close to you out of feelings of obligation or out of feelings of love? Would it matter if you could refuse without anyone ever knowing? What if the person asked you not to risk your life?

Answer: Whoa. That is a heavy question. So, here it goes! There are a few people in my life who I would risk my life for out of love (the majority of my family. However, I am only going to talk about two of them.) Truly. See this guy right here?
He happens to be my oldest brother. He also happens to be the father of my favorite (and only) niece. If it came down to something happening to him or me being able to step up and willingly risk my own life for him, I would. Why would I do that? See that gorgeous four year old in the above picture? That is my reasoning. She is four and she needs her daddy, she happens to be the biggest daddy's girl on the planet. Her whole world revolves around him. So out of my love for him AND her I would willingly risk my life to save his or hers. No obligation necessary.

It would make zero difference to me if they would find out or not. I would do it if they find out, and I would do it if I knew they would never find out. Hence, the act being done out of love and not out of obligation.

Would it make a difference if I was asked not to risk my life by these two people? Nope. Not in the slightest. Bug is the most important person in my life. She is the most important person to much of my family. There is nothing that I would not do for her. I want her to grow up safe, healthy, and strong. That is my biggest concern, her health and her happiness.

Ok, now you all know what to do! I want to read your answers to this question! So, is there anyone in YOUR lives that you would risk your life for? Why or why not? Let's get this discussion going in the comments section my friends...

question and answer...

It's "Book of Questions" post time. Who's excited? No one? Okay fine. If you are new to the blog (as I see a few of you are, 39 followers holla!) then please click here. Then if you would like to go back and read ALL of the posts from this epic book...feel free to do so.

Alright I am flipping (through the book of course...not like ACTUALLY flipping out) as we speak (type)...and the question is...

Question #77: Do you feel at ease going alone to either dinner or a movie? What about going on a vacation all by yourself?

Answer: Sorry this question is pretty darn lamespice if you ask me...but I must follow my own rules and answer whichever question I flip to..ugh.

I am totally fine going to dinner or a movie by myself! Sometimes I actually prefer it. A guy I used to date HATED when I would call him and be like, "Hey...I know we had plans but I am going to scrap those plans to have some me time." I would then proceed to head on over to whichever restaurant we were planning on going to and taking a book and eating by myself. He would get wicked pissed...I must admit it was a little funny!

Same thing with movies...sometimes seeing a movie all by yourself is awesome. I don't do that one too often though because most of the time someone I know wants to see the same thing so we just group it up and go together.

While I am a-ok with doing things solo I don't think I would be into going on vacation by my lonesome. To me vacations are fun because of the people you go with! If no one comes with you who is going to take pictures? And let you taste their yummy restaurant food? Who would ride in/on the plane/train/or automobile with you? It would be SO boring (kind of like this post).

So...I say heck-to-the-yes for solo dinner and movies! Heck-to-the-no for solo vacations....

I know I have let y'all down greatly with this post. It is looking like my 'funny' took a solo vacation and left me alone!

Anywho...answer this question in the comment section! What do YOU think about solo adventures (and no I did NOT mean that in a dirty way)?! Also, if you are a new friend o' the blog...introduce yourself (alcoholics anonymous style) I would love to meet you!
xoxo

question and answer...

Guess what today is blog-pals?! It is, 'The Book of Questions' post time! Hmmm...I suppose you could have deduced that from the title of the post but...it was more fun for me announcing it like a game show host. Alright, since I have some new 'People who win at life and read my blog!', or as Blogger calls you 'Followers', here is a little background on these posts. Clickity click here and here...here...here and last but not least...nevermind if you do not get the point after all of that clicking then I just do not know what to tell you! Meh...anyway...drumroll as I flip through the book and question #42 COME. ON. DOOOWWWN.

Question #42: How would you react if you were to learn that your mate had a lover of the same sex before you knew each other?

Answer: Okay so I seriously considered cheating and flipping to a different question because I like to keep this blog as un-hostile as possible but that would be breaking the rules and that is not going to happen on this here blog!

Here is the deal. I am all about equal rights and I have zero issue with gay men or women! Honest! I feel very strongly that love is love no matter if the people in love are two men, a man and a woman, or two women...it is all the same to me! I am a strong proponent of legalizing gay marriage and I even took to the streets to protest Proposition 8 in California...
if you are wondering if this is my lesbian lover...it's not. it's real-life pal Jil. also if you are wondering if people saw us on the local news protesting and thought we were a couple...a few people did...

With that all being said...I would SO not be cool knowing that a man I was involved with had been with a man at some point in his life. Sorry! I am all about people doing what they please, experiment if you want but I am a jealous kinda gal and have hard enough of a time worrying about other women...that I would lose my mind if I had to worry about other women AND other men. That is far too much for my jealous little heart to take!

The question asked how I would react? I would ace right outta that relationship with the quickness! (Although the whole Jake/Heath scene in 'Brokeback Mountain' was the definition of hottness...and now that I am thinking about that I am rethinking my opinion, ha!) Just sayin'...
oh the hottness...I cannot believe I forgot Jake on my hottness monster list...

This is my 'Let's Keep This Blog Un-hostile' disclaimer. This is my blog and expresses MY views. I happen to be pro-equality. I however, do not judge or hate those who do not agree with me. So please do not judge or hate on me for my views! You are entitled AND invited to share your thoughts and opinions anytime as long as you respect mine. Deal? Deal!

So...your turn! How would YOU feel about your mate having been involved in a same-sex relationship pre-you? Is that awesomesauce? Or is it a deal breaker?

question and answer...

I really need a theme song for these posts...but alas, I do not have one. So all I will say is it's, 'The Book of Questions' post time! It has been awhile since I have cranked one of these babies out so...if you are new to the blog and have no idea what I am talking about go here, and then go here, here, and finally here. After all of that clicking you should be all caught up...

Here we go...please drumroll to yourself while I flip through the book...

Question #207: Do you enjoy sleeping in physical contact with your lover?

Answer: First of all...I prefer to say 'lov-ah' instead of lover...it just sounds way more awesome. Second of all (ok that just sounds odd) I am currently 'lov-ah'-less (unless you count the naked window stalking date I have later tonight with the boys from the mormon bachelor pad). To be 100% honest my answer to the question is, heck no!

Sorry...I am a crazy sleeper who flips and flops and kicks and moves around constantly...if anyone else is in the bed with me they are completely risking their lives. I also have the issue on the very few occassions where I have shared my bed to not be able to sleep because wherever the other person is laying is EXACTLY where I want to be...therefore they are so in my way. Also, please do not be scandalized because in my 24 years I have only shared my bed with ONE boy ...thankyouverymuch!

I am also not a big cuddler when I am trying to get my Z's on. I need my space and hands off...sorry it's just the way I roll. You know...because I am gangster and all.

see this bed? Yeah...it isn't mine...but if it were it would be a 'no cuddle while sleeping' zone.

Okay 'fess up...are you a cuddler? Or are you a solo sleeper? Do tell...inquiring minds want to know!

question and answer...

First and foremost let me just say I am LOVING the scallop poll post. You guys are ALL freakin' hilarious...fun times...I will post the results in a week...so if you haven't voted go here and vote. Also, I will be including some of my real-life pals votes as well...I know you are all dying for the results...right?

On another note, it is 'Book of Questions' post time! Seriously, I may have to amend the rules I made about these posts. Sometimes I open to the most lamespice questions ever...like last time...and this time. Actually I am changing the rules I am giving myself three flips through the book if I don't like the first one I open to...because srsly the first one today was, "Can you urinate in front of another person?" Really? I am not going there (but fyi, I totes could)! Feel free to answer that one if you are so inclined...

The second one I flipped to is WAY better...so on we go!

Question #48: Given the choice of anyone in the world, whom would you want as your dinner guest? as your close friend? as your lover?

For my dinner guest I would of course love to have President Obama sit down at my table (wait, what am I talking about? i don't cook...so I would love to have him sit down at a restaurant table, because it would SO not be cool if I gave the leader of the free world food poisioning!).

Barack Obama Pictures, Images and Photos

This may seem like a totally generic response...but I mean who else could one want to have dinner with if The President is an option?! It's not only because I am a democrat that I would like to sit down to a meal with him, I think that no matter who the current President was I would like to have a sit down with them. I heart politics so bad. It would be nice to get inside this (in my opinion) brilliant mans head. I would also like to throw down about how insanely idiotic his health care plan is. Plus, he is a total fox...nice eye candy to ogle for an evening.

For my close friend I would have to go with the one and only Lauren Graham (or as I like to call her, Lorelai Gilmore, you know...the mom from the best show 'eva 'Gilmore Girls')...

Lauren Graham Pictures, Images and Photos

if you have no clue who I am talking about...quit reading this blog asap and do yourself a favor and Netflix all 7 seasons of that show! So I suppose technically I would want Lorelai as my close friend...why you may ask? Um...hello...she is the coolest mother in the history of moms (except for my mom, of course.). She is also hilarious, witty, sarcastic, and posseses killer fashion sense. All the thinks I look for in a good friend...

Finally, the juicy stuff! Who I would choose as a lover required zero thought...Robert-freaking-Pattinson...duhspice. If you need to ask why, I will give you two answers...
this...

Robert Pattinson Pictures, Images and Photos

and this...

Robert Pattinson!! Pictures, Images and Photos

that is all.

Alright, now it is your turn to answer...out of anyone in the world who would you choose to be your dinner guest/close friend/and lover?

question and answer...

It's that time again kids...I have nothing clever to go on about so I turn to a 'The Book of Questions' post. I wish I had like a theme song for these posts...maybe I will write one and then record it (with my AWESOME singing voice....trust me the people who play Guitar Hero with me know that I am SO the next American Idol) and then I will post it on here for all of you to enjoy and you can play it while you read and it will be like the jeopardy music...SA-WEET! It's a plan....

*Drum roll as I flip through the book......*

Question #25 (also known as the most lamespice question 'eva. I really want to flip to another one...but I said I would answer whichever question I flipped to and I have integrity and would feel bad if I was lying to all of you...so basically it is YOUR fault I am doing this question...does anyone else love the fact that I use a bazillion ellipses per post and create the most ridiculous run on sentences in the history of run on sentences?)

Ok let's jump back on track...

Question #25: For an all-expense paid, one-week vacation anywhere in the world, would you be willing to kill a beautiful butterfly by pulling off its wings? What about stepping on a cockroach?

Answer: Um...the long and short of it...yes, and hells-to-the-yes! Seriously, no joke. Listen, I know all Gods creatures are equal but see this thing right here...
Butterfly Pictures, Images and Photos
it's pretty right? I even searched photobucket until I found a REALLY unique, pretty butterfly to post. It's got great color...and I would totes rip off them wings for an all-expense paid week in Europe. Sorry...but that is the truth...and sometimes the truth hurts (ha! that's what the butterfly said! ok so now I need to go and make reservations at 'Dante's Inferno' because I am SO heading there after that horrible butterfly-torturing pun!)

And as for this sick little cockroach fool...
cockroach Pictures, Images and Photos
I would grind his little cockroach-bones (do they have bones?) into cockroach dust...I would even do it with my favorite shoes... then I would wipe off said shoes and pack them in my bag for my lovely free week long vacation....saonaira sucka!

Okay truth time bloggers...would you destroy these little buggie friends for a FREE week-long trip ANYWHERE you wanted? C'mon be honest...(if your answer is yes I will add you too my party when I make my reservations in the fiery pits!)

One last thing...there is a crucial poll going on right as we speak...a hot or not poll! It is a fight to the death between Robert Pattinson and Paul Wesley...so make your way over to Busy Bee Lauren and vote your booty's off! (also, if you do NOT vote for R-patz...I will block all of your future comments on this blog...just kidding! but c'mon he is a HOTTNESS MONSTER!)

question and answer...

It is time for another 'Book of Questions' post...because after this particular school day my thinking prowess is not functioning all that well. So, basically I am tired and lazy and this is all you get...on we go! I flipped to a random page and this was the question...

Question #156: On an airplane you are talking pleasantly to a stranger of average appearance. Unexpectedly, the person offers you $10,000 for one night of sex. Knowing that there is no danger and that payment is certain, would you accept the offer?

Mile High Club Pictures, Images and Photos

Answer: Um...no way in H-E-L-L!! Like no way, would not even consider it. Okay I would probably take like five seconds to be like 10,000 bucks in my bank would be SO awesome, and then I would be like NO WAY. I value myself a little bit more than that...that is some seriously skeezy business going on. So, no random Plane Pervert I will not be joining you for a PAID roll in hay.

By the way...wouldn't that technically be prostitution? As in illegal? Yep...I think so!

Okay...so does anyone want to throw in their two cents? Would any of YOU pocket the 10 grand and hit the sack with The Plane Pervert? If you had starving kids at home and no other options, would you partake in this wager? Discuss amongst yourselves...oh and this blog is a no judgment zone!

question and answer...

So, as I previously mentioned I am going to use 'The Book of Questions' on days where my brain cannot think of anything else. Well you are in luck because today is most definitely one of those days. Being that my morning started with a sheep brain (more on that later) I just have no spare brain power today! On we go...whee!

Question #1: For a person you loved deeply, would you be willing to move to a distant country knowing there would be little chance of seeing your friends and family again?

Answer #1: Honestly, no. Everyone wants to eventually find someone to share their life with (whether married or just long term). However, there is no way that I would give up the amazing love that I receive from family and friends just for one other person. It would be hard to let go of a man that I deeply loved but, then I would just think that anyone who knows me well knows how much of a family person I am and would never ask that of me. I could not imagine being happy in a life that does not include the people who I am close to. Such as these folks...

Example #1:this amazing little person who is
basically the most awesome niece anyone has ever had.
this kid is my heart...

Example #2:
this woman is the reason that I am in existence.
the tough, opinionated, woman that I am is all a product of being her daughter.
(I also owe the fact that I have NO leg hair to her as well, yeah we never have to shave our legs, jealous?)

Example #3:
these two fools are my big brothers.
yes, they may have ripped off my Barbies' head.
but I still love them and can count on them for anything.

Example #4:

now this is me and my oldest pal.

we have been soul sisters since like 8th grade.

as you can see she makes AWESOME picture faces.

she is my bestest...end of story.

Example #5:

speaking of awesome picture faces...

this gal is my MUCH older and wiser confidant (love ya Jily)

I am pretty sure that sometimes we are the same person

ya know, great minds and all that jazz.

Anywho...she is an honorary member o' my family

Lucky her, right?

Now see...who in their right mind would up and take off without knowing if they were to see these people again? Yep, that is correct...no one!

*Not one single person gave me permision to post their pictures...suckers!

**And no I do not know why the spacing on the last two is all funky...but I do know that I spent like an hour trying to fix it!

things to come...

I decided to start a blog because to be honest, I was bored and had nothing better to do. I am going to try to stick with it...but who knows next week once school is back in I may decide to be a gigantic quitter. But...the one thing I do know is that I am not clever enough to come up with interesting, witty topics to write about on a daily basis. So to help me out with this little problem I am going to turn to, "The Book of Questions" by Dr. Gregory Stock (no, I have no clue who he is either) I just happened across his book in the process of organizing my mama's new bookcase. It is as titled just a book of questions, 217 questions to be exact. It also has 200 'Further Questions' that every single human would have a different answer to! They cover a myriad of topics and hopefully will help me keep this blog a' movin! On days when I am lacking creativity I will answer a question...100% honestly and I promise to not skip ANY no matter how weird it is (and trust there are some ODD ones in there). So I will open the book to a random page and answer away.

Oh and you creepers who are lurking on this blog...come out and say hello in the comments section! Answer the questions too, or hell you could even criticize my answer and we can have a cyber-brawl...c'mon it's a party!
