must have monday {2.}...

Last week I started a new blog feature, 'Must Have Monday'. I loved doing it and y'all seemed to enjoy it as well, so I am thinking it will be a regular thing. When I have set themes to blog about, it keeps me going. I would love it if you all did you very own 'Must Have Monday' post and linked to it in the comments section. I mean...it is WAY more fun to swoon over things when others swoon right along with you. This post has a theme, all of my must have items are very feminine and pretty. Swoon with me folks...

This dress is SO frilly and feminine. It is not something I would normally wear, I am not big on dresses in the first place, but there is just something about it that I l-o-v-e. I adore the combination of the girly frills and masculine colors. Why am I wanting this dress? Well, I am working on becoming a #skinnybitch who can rock a dress like this, plus I have a bff wedding to attend this winter. Is this LarCentric approved? This dress can be found on Modcloth for only $89.99!

This bag is not just a want; it is more of a spiritual need. I am very into heather gray at the moment. Plus, I love ginorm purses. I love how this can go from handbag to satchel in just a switch of the handles. I neeeed it. This bag sells for $72.99 over at ModCloth.

{3.} 'Black Polka Dots Pleated Skirt'-Prototype Design Once again this lovely vintage-y skirt is not my typical style, but there is just something about it. It could be super cute with just the right funky top and shoes. This skirt is only $36. 50! I am thinking I need this because it would be perfect to wear when I have to go to court with my clients. So, really...it is for the sake of my career...right? Right...

{4.} 'Summer Mum Ring'-Liz HutnikI have recently become obsessed with huge crazy rings. This ring is super cute, all the rings in this Etsy store are adorable AND affordable. I am SO ordering one, I mean it is only $11 with FREE shipping. Please, love them with me.

{5.} 'Gray Picture'-Chuan ShuoThis is so cute. I pretty much belt my tops every single day. I have become a belting fanatic. How cute would this be with some tights, cute shoes, and a fabulous belt around the waist? Yep. That is correct. Tres freaking cute. This can be found on Etsy and is $63.00.

Are you all going to do your own must have posts? Is there anything on here that you love? Or hate? Please do share! Also, over the weekend I guest blogged on Lauren's blog. Check it out.

xoxo

lessons i learned from gilmore girls {4.}...

It is FINALLY Friday, so I decided to gift you all with this glorious post from one of my lovely blog friends Kat! Make sure you check out her blog...and her twitter! I am so loving these Gilmore Girls posts. Keep them coming ladies! Enjoy...

*Post Written By Kat*

Heya!
My name is Kat & like all the other lovely guest posters on Alex's blog....
(you know
Marci, Shelby Lou, Jaymie)
I am a Gilmore girl.

Of course I am not of the Stars Hollow world,
more the Colorado Springs world.

But I do love Gilmore Girls.
Annnnyyywhoozle.
I was inspired from this idea to borrow A.J.'s Season 1
(yeah, not all Gilmore girls are, well, girls)
and so all of my lessons are going to be sprinkled in from mostly the first half!
So, here are my lessons gathered!

If you are going to throw your life away for a guy, at least let it be for a guy with a motorcycle.

Gnome kicking says a lot about a mans character.

If the insults are biblical, you go to an advanced school.

If Chad Micheal Murry goes to your school it probably isn't a horrible school. Oh, oops. Okay it could be.

Wordsmithing is the key to life, and pre-dating one's daughter's teacher needs a key.

'What defines a good aisle?' 'An aisle where you get kissed by the new kid is a good aisle.'

'This says: 'Hello Im hip and cute, but also relaxed. Since this is something I just threw on even though it looks fantastic on me. (years of fashion brain freeze, comback, laugh, smile right, flip v twirl, standing amazed- wallet!) The talking part, you just get used to. The hair twirl, I can teach you. And the leaving-him-amazed part... with your brain and killer blue eyes, I'm not worried. You'll do fine. Just give yourself a little time to get there.'

'Is half an hour enough?'

'Plenty. Come on. Dab on some lip gloss, clear but fruity. Maybe a little mascara. Wear your hair down, and your attitude high!'

Boys must answer the door to pick up a lady.

'This is not a drive-thru! She is not chicken!'

Never, never, ever, ever, never accept a date with a man named Rune.

Do not invite girls who are named 'Madeline' or 'Louise' to a Bangles Concert.

According to Taylor, there are 8 tells for shoplifters.

I will never be a slutty Thursday afternoon girl!

Lorelai loves snow. I love Lorelai.

& there you go!
Lessons I've learned from Season 1!
Well there are plenty more lessons, but I didn't want to steal them all!

[Oh! & shameless pimping of my Twitter but in really small font!]

-Thanks Kat! I loooooved this post so bad. If anyone wants to join in on the guest post action, leave your email in the comments section!

lessons i learned from gilmore girls {3.}...

Happy Monday blog pals! I am SO excited to present to you the third post in a blog collaboration called, 'Lessons I Learned from Gilmore Girls'. This has quickly become one of my favorite blog features. Like I have already said, I love 'Gilmore Girls' and it has introduced me to some new blog friends that want to guest post! This next post is from the ever lovely Jaymie! Make sure you check out her blog when you are done reading her fabulous post! Enjoy...

*Post Written By Jaymie*

So after reading Shelby’s amazing Gilmore Girls post, I realized that I have a pretty good follow-up. Remember a couple of episodes after Lorelai’s long rambling movie reference phone call to Luke about coming over to her house? Yeah, Luke and Lorelai get back together. Luke knocks on Lorelai's door and after she answers, Luke just grabs her in his arms and they kiss in the doorway just like their first kiss. However, to break some hearts, my lesson comes from the episode where Lorelai actually ends the relationship and engagement. (Season 6, Episode 22: Partings)

Lorelai gives Luke an ultimatum:

Lorelai: I don’t want to talk. All we’ve done for months is talk. I want to do, I want to go.
Luke: You can’t just take off and get married.
Lorelai: Why not, Luke? Don’t you love me?
Luke: You know I do.
Lorelai: But I love you, Luke. I love you, but I have waited and I have stayed away, and I have let you run this thing, and no more. I asked you to marry me and you said yes.
Luke: I’m just trying to think.
Lorelai: We fixed up the house, right? And we have a bigger closet and I didn’t get the purple wallpaper because you didn’t want the purple wallpaper and if it’s between you and the purple wallpaper, I pick you. I pick you.
Luke: I didn’t tell you not to get the purple wallpaper.
Lorelai: Oh my god, you didn't like it.
Luke:I don’t care about wallpaper.
Lorelai: Do you care about me?
Luke: Yes.
Lorelai: Because I’m going crazy here. I made a commitment to you and I need to make it happen.
Luke: It will. It will happen. Okay? I just have April to consider.

Lorelai: For months, I’ve been sulking around, not saying anything, not having an opinion on anything like I’m Clarence Thomas or something, and’m done with that. I’ve been waiting for a long time and I don’t want to wait anymore.
Luke: I have to think this through.

Lorelai: No!

Luke: I have April to consider.

Lorelai: You’re going to have to figure out how April fits into our lives, not the other way around.

Luke: I’m trying.

Lorelai: Well, try married.

Luke: Just wait.
Lorelai: No, I’m not waiting. It’s now or never.
Luke: I don’t like ultimatums.
Lorelai: I don’t like Mondays, but unfortunately, they come around eventually.
Luke: I can’t just jump like this.
Lorelai: Well, I’m sorry to hear that. And I have to go.

Lorelai eventually decides to leave someone she loves. She gave Luke a choice and he could not tell Lorelai that he wanted to marry her right then. I honestly believe that this is one of Lauren Graham’s best scenes. You can just feel the emotion running through her at the moment she has to do something that she really doesn’t want to do – walk away.Although every single Gilmore Girls lover adores Lorelai and Luke together and although we all hate to see them part, we all know Lorelai’s decision is the right one.

Then, the follow-up episode (Season 7, Episode 1: “The Long Morrow”), Lorelai basically explains to Sookie why she made the decision she did.

Lorelai: Luke and I are over.
Sookie: Over?
Lorelai: Yeah.
Sookie: No…
Lorelai: Yeah.
Sookie: You guys had a fight.
Lorelai: We had THE fight.
Sookie: People have fights. It’s okay. It’s good, actually. You know,it’s healthy. You don’t have fights, all these chemicals build up and you get ulcers and bad skin, and you’ve got such pretty skin.
Lorelai: This was different. This was bad.
Sookie: People have bad fights. Every bad fight can seem like THE fight. Lorelai: It wasn’t just the fight, Sookie, it was him not fighting for me. I gave him an ultimatum, and he let me walk away.
Sookie: But no, he’ll come back, he’ll be back. He’ll come back. Luke wants to marry you. You know he does. I mean, he’ll come around. He’ll get it together.
Lorelai: I’m done. I don’t want to see him anymore. It’s over.
Sookie: I get that you’re mad. You deserve to be mad. Luke’s been a real jerk, frankly. Being mad at him makes all the sense in the world. And if you’re so mad, you need to believe you guys are over, I get that.

Lorelai: No, you don't get it. I need it to be over because I can't take this anymore. Yes, I love Luke and yes, I wanted to marry Luke, but I didn't want a life separate from Luke and that's all he can give me. I don't want that. If I'm going to be with Luke, I want to be with Luke. And he didn't get it. And I waited. It's like Luke is driving a car, okay? And I just want to be in the passenger's seat, but he's locked the door and so I have to hold onto the bumper. I'm not even asking him to open the door for me, just leave it unlocked and say come in. But no, he didn’t do that. So I’m hanging onto the bumper and life goes on and the car goes on and I get really badly bruised hitting potholes and it hurts, I mean it hurts. So, yesterday I had to let go of the bumper because it hurts too much."

We all love Lorelai and Luke together, but if Luke let Lorelai walk away, then we all know that she made the right decision. One of the best relationships in the history of Gilmore Girls and television in general comes to an end, but it’s for all the right reasons.

Some of the best decisions in life are the hardest ones to make....and this is what I learned from Gilmore Girls.

lessons i learned from gilmore girls {2.}...

This is probably my favorite blog 'feature' of all time. Why? Gilmore Girls is my ALL time favorite show, and the lovely blog pals who have joined up to guest post are legit. This guest post is from Ms. Shelby Lou! Make sure to check out her blog when you are done! Enjoy...

*Post Written By Shelby Lou*

Lorelai: "Hey, Luke, it's me. I know I'm not supposed to be calling, but I am not doing really great right now, and… I was just wondering if, do you remember in 'The Way We Were', how Katie and Hubbell broke up because his friends were joking and laughing, and the president had just died, and she yelled at them and he was mad and he was going out to Hollywood, and, I mean, which she hated, and he broke up with her and she was really upset. And she called him and asked him if he would come over and sit with her because he was her best friend and she needed her best friend, and he did. And they talked all night, and they went out to Hollywood, which was a disaster, but it was good at first. With the boat, and uh, putting the books away. I've seen this movie a lot, so if you don't remember the putting the books away scene, don't feel stupid or anything. I was just sitting here thinking about it, because I, um, I'm in my house, and I was just, uh… Could - please come over. I - please. Really need to see you and talk to you, and please - come over. Please."

Have you ever felt like this? Have you ever felt so heartbroken that you just can’t do much besides the very desperate things? This is my favorite episode from Gilmore Girls. It’s in season 5 when Emily and Richard get back together and they have the wedding. Rory and Logan get caught making out by Lorelai, then Christopher, then Luke. All while Luke is finding out that Lorelai had drinks with Christopher and didn’t tell him. Luke breaks up with Lorelai even after she tries to explain things and tell him how she is “in, she is all in.” This is such a sad episode, but it teaches you so much about heartache, and recovery, and that desperate times call for desperate measures.

Then, after she calls him, Lorelai runs to his house and takes his tape from his answering machine, by the time she gets home Luke is there. Oh, it just shows how strong she wishes she could have been, and how much they both really love each other even if their romance is completely crazy! I love it.

Lorelai: "I'm so sorry, Luke. I will never do this to you ever again. I am absolutely humiliated. I was hurting, and I knew if I called you you'd come. I never should have done that."
Luke: "It's okay."
Lorelai: "No, it's not okay. It's not okay. I am not that girl. I am not the one who cries and falls apart and calls her ex-boyfriend to come and save her. Thank you so much for coming, and for breaking my door. You're an
amazing guy for doing that." (hands him a tape)
Luke: "What's that?"
Lorelai: "It's the tape from your answering machine."
Luke: "From my answering machine?"
Lorelai: "The last crazy thing you will ever have to endure from me, I promise. -- I just want you to know that I heard you when you said that you're out. I did. I'm going to respect that from now on."

On top of everything with Lorelai, Rory tells Logan that she wants to commit, and that she can’t just be “whatever” with him anymore. On top of THIS Rory shows her amazingly strong love for her Mom, her best friend. When she finds out about her Mom’s status and takes Logan’s limo to Stars Hollow and finds out the whole town has split into teams with ribbons for Luke and Lorelai.. she runs into the market and her conversation with Taylor is the best..

Rory: "Where are they, Taylor?"
Taylor: "What?"
Rory: "Don't play dumb. The ribbons!"
(Rory grabs the box)
Rory: "Take piano lessons or something!"
(Rory leaves)
Taylor: "She was so sweet when she was little."

Oh it makes me laugh the entire time!! I think that is why I loved this episode so much, not only did it introduce me to one of my, now, favorite movies of all time “The Way We Were” but it also made me cry and laugh at the same time. It was so heartbreaking, but so hilarious. I will leave you with some of the other “best lines” from this episode.

Paris: "Don't forget the raisin bran. It's good for you. Keeps you moving."
Rory: "Whatever that means... eww, I just got what that means!"

Paris: "Well, no one called, left a note, smoke signaled, Morse coded,
semaphore flagged or came by. Male, female or hermaphrodite."
Rory: "Okay, thanks."
Paris: "(getting up) I'm wide awake. It's your fault. You owe me Boggle."
Rory: "Paris-"
Paris: "Boggle!"

Michel: (talking about the dolls) "You're feeding them? They have no opposable thumbs!"
Sookie: "The girls have no thumbs? Aww! It's a handicapped girls party?" Michel: "No, the dolls!"
Sookie: "Dolls can be handicapped?"

How can you not love Gilmore Girls???!!!

a guest post from 'delysia lefosse'{2.}...

Remember the first time Ms. Delysia Lefosse wrote a guest post for this blog? Yep. She needed some advice and wanted to vent anonymously and I told her she was welcome to take over my blog anytime. Well, that time has come again. Here is Round 2 with Ms. Lefosse.
xoxo-Alexandria

"Scared shitless doesn’t even begin to explain the feelings I am going through right now. You know that feeling that you get when you know something is about to drop from a high distance onto someone, and there is nothing you can do to stop it. That is the kind of feeling I am having, just magnified by twelve. I don’t even know how it is like this. I mean, I beg and plead, and pray, that some awesome guy will come into my life and nothing happens for a long time. Then, out of nowhere comes this man who is amazing, and thinks I’m great too. Now, I feel like it’s just too much. I deserve this too! Not to be selfish or anything, but I literally deserve this relationship. Honest to heaven above. So why, oh why can I not let myself be happy. Okay, it’s not that I am not happy, I am happy, I am just having so many aches and pains and I feel like my heart is full to the brim. Not with love, but with confusion and heartache. Like some sort of spirit is floating above me at all times, and when it sees that I am getting comfortable it drops down a load of bricks into my heart and starts to build up this huge wall.

I am thinking to myself, I need to stick this out. I need to just run as fast as I can from this lingering spirit above me and show everyone that despite its greatest efforts, it cannot weigh me down!! I am WOMAN! I say to myself in my best Tarzan type voice, beating my chest with my fists. This is not going to happen again! I will open my heart, let someone in, and learn to show respect and care for them. Then, it catches up with me and I just feel like I am taking advantage of this whole situation. Why be in a relationship that you know isn’t going to go anywhere but to the movies, hiking, and maybe fishing. My logic is because I need to build my character and be someone who can take care of someone, and see the “type” of people I want to be with. Real life logic says, stop stringing around this guy if you aren’t going to commit seriously.

I have so much I want to do, but no idea how to do it. I want to travel abroad, move around, have a million different jobs. I want to be single when all my friends come home from their missions so I can hang out with them and learn from them, and date them. Selfish? Probably. True? Most assuredly.

I don’t want to be single when I’m single. I don’t want to be in a relationship when I’m in a relationship.

I feel like in this relationship, he is there just to make me feel better. I don’t ever do anything for him. Not that I don’t want to, just that, I don’t know what to do. I don’t want to be a lovey dovey or anything, and I don’t want people to think we are getting married because we aren’t. I plan on serving a mission, and even though it isn’t required of me... I feel like it should be. Maybe my idea will change on that eventually, but for now, it’s pretty solid. Okay not pretty, REALLY. Just what am I supposed to do? How do I go about making this better? Someone is going to get hurt and it’s going to be horrible. I hate it when people hurt, especially when I am the one doing the hurting. I’m freaking out inside right now, FREAKING OUT!

Love-Ms. Delysia Lefosse"

Okay, so who has advice to give? Wise words? Anything? Please, help out in the comments section!

lessons I learned from gilmore girls {1.}...

I am SO pleased to present you all with the very first 'Lessons I Learned From Gilmore Girls' guest post! It is brought to you by the one and only Marci. Enjoy...

Unless you have been living under a rock for the past 10 years, you know that Gilmore Girls is the best show ever.

It's pretty much my reason for existence.

Ok, not really.

But it's pretty close.

Like right up there with eating, sleeping and breathing.

I'm pretty sure I could quote this show in my sleep.

Why?

Because there are so many valuable life lessons we can take away from it!

In honor of our "Lessons I Learned from Gilmore Girls" series, I chose a few of my favorite lessons to share with you guys:

The train is NOT going to leave the screen.

Swans are vicious birds.

God lives in London.

Every girl has to fall for a bad boy. It's the rule. It's the reason so many accountants eventually get married.

Only prostitutes have 2 glasses of wine at lunch.
When a woman gives birth to crack baby you do not buy her a puppy.

How freaking genius was this? I officially am a Marci fangirl. She speaks Gilmore like nobodies business! Make sure to go over and check out her blog if you haven't already. Also, if you want to contribute to the 'GG Lessons' guest posts leave me your email in the comments section!

so much love...

It has been far too long since I have picture exploded on my blog. Saturday evening I decided that little issue would be remedied. We had a lovely H-Family evening so I picture Nazi'd it up. Enjoy...

Since it had been forever AND a day since Bff Jil came to hang out over at Casa de H-Family...I decided to invite her on over. She came of course, and she brought along a date. See that little cuteness monster on the trampoline with Bug? Yep. Cutest four year old boy on the planet. That is Jil's nephew Jacob. I refer to him, 'Jacop' which makes Bff Jil want to strangle me...

Somehow, the two cuteness monsters convinced Jilian to get on the trampoline with them. How this happened, I know not. But the little monsters tag-teamed her...

And then my brother Jon-than decided to help those little twin terrors out. I am surprised that Jil survived. Between being bounced about 10 feet off of the trampoline, she also had to grab each of the monsters and hold them so that their little skulls did not collide. This left her with both hands occupied and poor Jily was defenseless. The kids found it hilarious...Jil was not quite as amused...

Bff Jil survived...thankfully. See, I have photographic evidence right here. Jil and Bastina Balicious smiling pretty for the camera! Please note that all three of us gals had on our chilly clothes and we were complaining that it was freezing...we all also had on flip-flops. Hmmm...I wonder WHY we were all freezing to death. Nothing like peacoats and flip-flops. But hey we are legit California girls and that is how we roll. Amen...

Jon-than and I played a little basketball like we did when we were kids. And yes, by 'playing basketball like we did when we were kids' I do mean he shot the baskets while I fed him the ball. I am a failure at b-ball my friends. I have been since I came out of the womb. But I am an excellent ball passer/handler/feeder (say it with me folks!). That is your 'Twss 101' lesson for today...

I took a little breather from my 'ball handling' to pose for a 'Signature Picture' with Jily. Since the dawn of our bff-ness almost every picture of us is the same. Like THE same. We take them ourselves, they are close ups, and we are always on the same side. No joke. This is the case for like 95% of our pictures together. We refer to them as the 'Signature Pose'...I bet you $1,000 bucks I know the first thing Jilian will say about this picture...prove me right Jily!

Jon-than is a lovely influence on the children. Which is why he literally kicked little Jacop off of Bug's princess bike and took it for a spin. Bastina, do you realize you are going to have to raise him AND your babies when you have them? Just sayin'...

So, you will all probably be seeing quite a few pictures like this on my blog...and on Bastina's as well. Why? Well, we have a mutual internet bff Vanessa. She lives ALL the way over on the east coast. Which is lame because she is a totally a Cali girl in her heart...which is why when she visited our glorious state she left her heart here. Bastina keeps it in her purse for safe keeping. We plan on taking Vanessa's heart along with us on our many adventures. That is until Vanessa makes her victorious return to our side of the country, then she will have her heart back. We love you V!

My mother made cupcakes for dessert. For some reason they were a total fail and turned into cupcake tops only. So naturally Bastina slapped two of the cupcake tops together with some frosting and made a cupcake sandwich. Yum. She also was sitting like a crazy person because she was scared to get chocolate cupcake on the newly upholstered chair, which in this house would equal a death sentence. Bastina enjoyed her cupcakes much to someone else's dismay...

Unless you have been to my house (which only includes two of you) you may not know that the chair Bastina was munching on cupcakey goodness on is right across from the couch where Jilian and Jacop are sitting. So that also means you cannot tell that Bff Jil is purposefully NOT looking in Bastina's direction. Why? Oh because she has control issues and cannot handle unkempt cupcake eating. Don't believe me? Yeah...click your way over here and then you will trust...

Brother Jon-than has a picture taking issue. So any chance that I see to snap his photo I take it...and then I post it because it is SO rare. Please, disregard the hideous that is my face in this picture...

After our lovely company evacuated I made my way to my room to do some homework. I came to a very, very tragic conclusion. No longer do I have fabulous Dolce & Gabbana reading glasses because they are cute...I have reached the old point where I actually need them to read. I. Was. Devastated. Oh, and please do not confuse this picture with me trying to look hottspice, I was biting my lip to keep myself from crying. Hi, my name is Alex and I am officially old...

Yay, for fabulous time with beloved family and friends (and by friends I mean honorary family). I have the best group of people in my life...srsly. I love them all so bad. Want to know what else I love wicked bad? The cross process photo edit option. It makes my pictures look awesome and vintage...it makes me happy. It's the little things y'all...

a guest post from "delysia lafosse"...

Sometimes people like to rant. Sometimes it is hard to rant on your own blog because people get up on their high horses and say things that piss you off even more. OR the person you want to rant about may read your blog so therefore you keep it to yourself...that is where having other blog pals comes into the picture. A dear Internet Bff was having an issue and wanted to vent...anonymously...I said, "Girl, feel free to take over my blog." So that is what she did...I present to you the very first 'Always Alexandria Anonymous Guest Post'...enjoy! Also, to Ms. Delysia Lafosse...I. Freaking. Love. You. No lie.
xoxo-Alexandria
{Written By: 'Delysia Lafosse'}
Of course this post will be about boys and dumb girls. Of course this post will take all of me to write, and write well. When I get heated about a topic I get sloppy in my writing, then it all goes to hell. I hope for you, and for Alex’s blog this goes smoothly. It all started when I was cuddling close to a guy watching another movie with Jack Black in it. You might not believe me when I say it wasn’t The Holiday, moving on... This boy was hotter than hot can be. No lying about it. Scruffy, but well kept. Stocky but muscular, and oh how I wanted to kiss him all over!! So, being the girl I am I decided that I would, far ahead of anything else, tell myself that if the opportunity presented itself I would mack on this boy and never regret a single moment. Of course, with my good luck the boy was sick with a slight cold and had told me that no, he couldn’t kiss me, for fear he would get me sick. I stuck with the proven fact and tried to forget about it... until he started kissing my neck.

Now, let me break for a moment here and say. Why oh why? I have no control in that area, NONE. I wonder if he was just testing me. Well, if he was... I lost. I turned over and eventually kissed that boy on the lips, because honestly.. I didn’t care if I got sick. (Which I didn’t by the way.) It wasn’t much of a kiss either, it was more of a, dang-I-wish -you-weren’t-sick-and-that-we-were-alone-so-this-was-better. Either way though, I reached my goal, and even though it might seem desperate.. I don’t care.
So what is the problem with this whole situation? Before this night this hot piece of a man was texting my roommate and asking her to hang out that night. He came over and sat next to her to begin with, while I joked before about how he wanted her, and how if she had the chance, she should kiss him. I guess it didn’t really work out like that. My friend wasn’t mad because she constantly would mention how she thought he wasn’t that good looking, or that he wasn’t her type. I just said “OKAY” in a sarcastic way because not only is this boy hawt to everyone, he sort of reminds me of her ex-boyfriend, his good characteristics. I knew she would tap that if the chance came up and I don’t blame her. Anyways, with her constantly saying that he was gross, or not her type, I figured the whole situation would blow over. No, I was wrong. She had to go about and ask him what his intentions were with me and what he thought of me. Being the guy he is, he said he didn’t know me well enough and just thought it was a “whatever” sort of thing. I completely agree. Even though this boy is hawt, hawt, hawt, he has heartache written all over him.

The days go by and my friend is constantly talking about him, dissecting his words when we are alone, and saying “he likes you, I can tell”. News flash honey!! Him liking me is going to get me no where. It feels great to cuddle next to him every-other-night and just have someone to be next to, but it really means nothing to me. Last night after he left she says “He is such a player.” I said, “Why’s that??” Then she freaks out and tells me that he was holding her hand on one side, and had his hand on my leg on the other. I asked her why she didn’t just let go of his hand... “Because that would be rude.” No darling, that would be being honest and blunt like you regularly are. You are never afraid to say no in situations like that, you want him, end of story. I didn’t really say that but I did say something like this, “ He isn’t a player. He has made it subtly clear to both of us that it is no big deal. He can cuddle with whoever he wants and not feel guilty and I give him mad props.” I’m not the kind of girl who can do that, but I’m working on it. I hear playing the game is what is in now-a-days.

On top of all of this, which isn’t even that big of a deal, but only sort of is because she makes everything a big deal, there is something else. This bugs me so bad I could just punch something. This girl is so high maintenance that it is ridiculous. Talking with her ex-boyfriend after the break up he revealed to me that, she was so chill when they first started dating. Going anywhere he wanted to go to eat, doing what he wanted, listening to his kind of music, saying “No problem” to weird situations. Then as soon as they hit a comfortable spot, BAM everything changed. “Ew disgusting!!” and gagging sounds were made at his every suggestion, she soon became very hard to please. So as we meet new people and they talk about the kind of girls they date they mention how they don’t like girls that are high maintenance. Automatically, like a lever has been switched in her brain or something, she says “I’m not high maintenance, I am soo chill.” LIE. I want to stand up and scream at her and say “LIKE HELL YOU AREN’T!” Because this girl is the hardest person to please in the world. I can’t watch TV before I fall asleep because of you, and if I even mention a food I would love to cook, your face goes crazy because you would “throw up”. Stop being a child.

Don’t get me wrong here people, I love her.. she is one of my greatest friends. Sometimes though, I wonder how it became that way. When I am with her, my opinions are mute, my words tend to disappear into oblivion because she is center stage. I’m not one to talk crap about people because I know karma is a bih. That, however has not stopped me from spilling my feelings over the internet and wanting people to see things my way. I want you all to know that, I am severely frustrated at this point and the fact that I have FINALLY gotten to publish this piece is like a load of bricks off my back.

In conclusion, thank you Alex, for so graciously providing a space for me to spill out my heart and soul. I will forever be indebted to your blogging needs because of this, and that is no lie. DANG that felt good.
