the super fabulous road trip of pure awesomeness {3}...

Finally the piece de resistance of all of the road trip posts! Click here for posts #1 & #2, and catch yourself up on the best road trip to ever occur. So, what was the goal of 'operation drive a bazillion miles, in the pouring freaking rain, on streets with highly inappropriate names'? Well, it was to finally reach our destination of Port Angeles/Forks/La push. Obvi. So, we stayed the night in the cutest city also know as Port Angeles then drove the HOUR to Forks (pretty sure S. Meyer lied about how long/boring that drive is...or maybe the drive would have seemed like it was only ten minutes long had Edward been driving us and we could have been preoccupied with his stone cold glittery foxy self).

After the hour long drive, 6 or 7 road rage outbursts from Bff Jil, and listening to The Twilight Saga Soundtracks...we finally made it to Forks, Washington. Holler. Be prepared...there are about a bazillion pictures in this post. Enjoy...

I would love to go on and on about how delish the mushroom ravioli was at the restaurant that was the location of Edward and Bella's first date...but the menu didn't look all that appetizing. We were bad Twilight fans and went to Downriggers for round two and had scrumptious seafood. Don't judge us...

You best believe Bff Jil and I went and chatted up the ladies who pretty much know all things Twilight. They gave us maps and everything so we could commence our own little solo tour of Twi-World...

Also, since it was just a two person road trip adventure...there are many pictures of Bff Jil and I doing the exact same thing...one of her...and then one of me. We should have trailed some cute boy along with us to do all our picture taking business...

Why no, we did NOT find a boy to schlep around and take our picture all day long. But Bff Jil has some serious brains and pulled her big ol' Tahoe up as close to the sign as possible, balanced my camera in the window, set the ten second timer, and then hauled ass up the little hill so we could snap this photographic gem...

We then of course had to snap solo pictures of ourselves with the glorious welcome to Forks sign. This is Bff Jil...

and this is me, myself, and I...

We then ventured to one of the 75 Twilight stores that are located in the lovely Forks, Washington. We had to pick up some souvenirs for our friends who were not able to come on the trip with us...and to pose with Edward...

Or in my case...to molest the cardboard Edward cutout. Don't judge me. He enjoyed every single second of it...*ahem*...

Bff Jil found another Edward while in Forks (srsly. homeboy is EVERYWHERE all the time in those parts). She was giving him a lil' smooch...

After we found 'Edward' and photographed him to death, we began our self-guided tour through the ginormous metropolis known as Forks. Which started with visiting Bella's truck, which was SO not her truck. This truck was too nice and totally RED...pretty sure Bella's actual truck is beat to hell and kinda orangish...

I am pretty sure that Jil was thisclose to refusing to pose with the truck because it was so NOT legit...then she got over it and slapped a smile on her face so I could snap a quick picture. Say cheese...

Apparently this is Bella's house. See there is even a little sign that says 'Home of the Swans'. But this is not really her house (fakers)...it is some other people's house who don't mind allowing thousands of Twilight fans to take pictures of their home, as long as you don't go in their yard. Pretty sure that is a shanking offense or something...

Next stop was the Forks Hospital...where Carlisle works. Yeah, he does so work there. We have proof...

We also have almost identical poses in these pictures. Odd. Oh, and Dear Guys Who Were In The Building Where This Sign Hangs, we totally heard you making fun of us. Shut your faces. Love, Me...

We then ventured on over to Forks High, pulled over with the quickness in front of this sign, jumped out, snapped a picture of me...

snapped a picture of Bff Jil, and then ran like morons back to the car that we left running, and booked it. Why the mad photo dash? We were completely worried that the high schoolers would judge us for posing in front of their school...

Oh hiiiiii, The Cullen's (faux) household. Okay, really Forks?! Is this the best home you could come up with? I mean the Cullens are freaking loaded...you best believe their casa is like something you would see on MTV Cribs (whoa. i just made myself feel old)...

Isn't that Esme just a doll? She even left a sweet little note just for Bff Jil and I...

Then it was time for two fierce members of Team Edward to cross the infamous treaty line and venture into wolf territory. Things could get a little dicey folks...

Things did get dicey. As soon as we passed the sign for La Push it started to get way windy...and then the rain began. We were SO not feeling the rain, but being the stellar Twilight fans that we are we continued on...

Bff Jil snapped this because, and I quote, "Meh. That looks like it is high enough it may have almost-killed Bella when she jumped, yeah?" Um...yeah....

La Push was actually super pretty. I mean it was nicer then Forks...and the ocean was beautiful. But like I said, it was raining, we were not in the mood to walk along the beach in the rain, wearing flip flops, so we parked the car...

Snapped a photo of me, freezing my arse off...

and one of Bff Jil, freezing her arse off...

With that our trip to Forks/La Push was done. We booked it back to Port Angeles and spent the rest of the day eating, shopping, and going to see 'Sex & The City 2'. It was legit my friends...okay actually it was kind of a let down (we did the entire tour in less than an hour) and slightly ghetto BUT it was still a blast! I would recommend y'all making the trip up there if you ever get the chance!

the super fabulous road trip of pure awesomeness {2}...

If you were not already aware Bff Jil and I took a lovely road trip last week. For Part 1 of our epic adventure please click here. I want ALL of you to click there and play the game we made up...so far only like one person has contributed! Come on people! Do not make me lose faith in you!

Anywho...this post is dedicated to the lovefest Bff Jil and I have with food...and with each other. We always joke that we are a couple, because we are pretty much the same person, we do everything together, and basically we are pretty much common law married. I mean if one of us was a dude the relationship would work out perfectly...just sayin'...

We had some of THE best seafood of our lives on this adventure, so we figured we would photograph some of our favorite meals! Prepare to have multiple foodgasms while reading this post. For serious. Also, prepare for the slightly inappropriate photos I had to add to this post for good measure...love us through it...

When we first arrived in Port Angeles, we noticed how clear and blue the water around us was. Duh. Water is clear. But the water there was BEAUTIFUL. We decided we must get some recommendation for the best seafood in town...and we were directed to 'Downriggers'. It did not disappoint in the slightest...

Why hello Best Clam Chowder Of My Life, you were delicious and I wanted to make sweet soupy love to you...as did Bff jil. You were better than my mother's clam chowder (shhh...don't tell her I said that)...

This is Bff Jil's foodgasm face...homegirl was obviously stoked for some fresh hot bread and soupy deliciousness in her belly...

For some reason Jil took 75,000 pictures of her soup...

Yep. It was THAT good, that we both took bread and scraped every morsel out of those bowls...it was thisclose to us just licking the bowl clean...

After making love to my soup I enjoyed hand battered fresh prawns...um they made me say holllllerrrr...

Bff Jil had grilled prawns...they were freaking delicious as well...let's just say that we ate at this restaurant BOTH nights that we were in Port Angles. Yum...

As we made our way back to our hotel room (and got lost about 12 times) we noticed these creepspice people statues all along the sidewalk. So we obviously had to get out and take pictures with them...I love me some boobage...

Bff Jil had to snap a picture as well...she loves some bend-overage...obvi...

Okay, I seriously have like 12,000 pictures of food from this trip...but there is no way I am posting all of them. Why? Well, because it is making me hungry...and it will make y'all want to lick your computer screens...which is probably not an awesome idea.

Although there is one more food-centric tale that I must include. Like I mentioned before Bff Jil and I are pretty much a couple. We decided to go out for Italian food when we finally arrived in Spokane (after the longest most boring 6 hour drive of my freaking life). We ventured out to Luigi's...and while at this restaurant we took our 'biatchmance' to a new level...

We snapped a 'signature pose' in the car on our way to din-din. Why yes, we DO love ginormous sunglasses...we are legit like that...

We made it to downtown Spokane and found the heavenly Italian food mecca, known as Luigi's. While we were perusing the menu, I suggested we take it easy on the pasta and stop eating before we get too stuffed for dessert. I. Wanted. Dessert. Specifically, I wanted to try Creme Brulee...which I had never had. So, we refrained from stuffing ourselves (kind of) and ordered one creme brulee to split...

It was obviously delicious...being that we only photographed the bowl after we had scraped it clean. We then realized that we took our straight-girl-date-night to a whole new level as we shared a dessert in a dark, candle lit restaurant, on a Friday night...

Bff Jil decided to document the seriousness of our relationship. What better way to document true freaking love, than by writing it out in chocolate? Why yes, that does say 'J+A' in chocolate, don't hate...

There you have it folks! Those are the highlights of all of the foodgasms we had on the road trip, now I am freaking hungry and want creme brulee.

Have a fabulous weekends lovey dolls!

a little pomp and circumstance...

I have SO much to blog about, I am very much behind. I decided I will catch up on old posts in between telling you all about the road trip Bff Jil and I just took. If you are not aware of this trip click here and play along in a lovely game I created for you all.

In May something kind of epic happened, I became a college graduate. I was not down with participating in the commencement ceremony at all. Why? Well because I am going to grad school and I feel like I am not even done with school yet...but I gave in and walked to please the family. I was SUCH a picture failure on this momentous occasion...so epic of a failure that I have not ONE picture with my mom from graduation. I am still bitter about that fact. So here is a picture explosion from graduation and the party that commenced that same afternoon. Enjoy...

Sometimes...my school has a cheesy slogan around the stage. "Today Decides Tomorrow." Wow. Brilliant. I totally wonder who came up with that little gem...

Sometimes...I leave graduation early and book it home to take pictures in my cap and gown instead of fighting the crowds in the stadium. Sometimes I also change out of my pretty graduation dress into jeans without thinking they could be seen in this picture with the grandparents, one of which is apparently coughing up a lung...

Sometimes my niece is the cutest thing on the planet (okay she is ALWAYS the cutest thing on the planet)...

Sometimes my mom's friend Julie sets up a bar in the backyard...where Bff Jil, Connie, and I proceed to make (and drink) mango margaritas. Yum...

Sometimes Julie is a terrible example...such as letting Bug be her bartending assistant for the afternoon. *facepalm*...

Sometimes I almost die of shock when I find a picture of my brother Jon-than, and he is actually smiling AND looking at the camera. He is probably smiling in this picture because Lisa is being inappropriate and making him uncomfortable...

Sometimes the calm adults sit around the patio table and shoot the breeze....

Sometimes the wild & crazy adults stand around the 'bar' and do straight shots of tequila...

Sometimes those same wild & crazy adults do more shots of tequila...and more...and more...and then a few more...just for fun...

Sometimes the calm adults and the wild & crazy adults come together for just a quick moment to eat some delicious cake. Seriously, it may look like a cheeseball cake but Costco makes THE best cakes ever. Don't hate...

Sometimes Bff Jil and I take a picture, and sometimes that picture is our 'signature pose'. If you look at every picture of me and Jily it looks just like this one. Faces smashed together and booty's out...we also seem to be wastey faced in a lot of the pictures we have together...

Sometimes my mother's friends attack me when I am taking a nap (aka passed out) in the chaise lounge. Yes, they are crazy. Yes, I grew up with these two around me. Yes, I will need years of therapy because of Julie and Lisa...

Sometimes Jon-than and Bastina hang out and just witness all the crazy that is going on around them (okay I am not going to lie...Bastina joined in on one or two of the rounds of tequila shots)...

Sometimes I feel as though I have to break down a picture for you all. What exactly was going on in this photograph? Well there is a word Bff Jil hates. I mean she screams when she hears it and I am 99.9% certain that it makes her ears bleed as well. What word? Well I like to keep this here blog PG-13...let's just say it starts with a 'p' and is a sicknast word for female genitalia (are y'all picking up what I am putting down?) Everyone decided to start using said 'p' word just to drive Jil crazy...including her dad and her mom...which is who Bff Jil is yelling at in this picture. As for what I am doing in above photo, well I am minding my own bidness drunk texting in the background...

Sometimes I am ridiculous and do dumb things. Sometimes I am responsible and slightly uptight. Sometimes I make my mother proud by getting wasted and then passing out on a lawn chair at my graduation party...in front of all of her friends. Sometimes I get a SUPER bad hangover that lasts for THREE days. Yep. THREE whole freaking days. Sometimes I know I am never drinking again...

So there you all have it. I am a college graduate. I am done with school for the next year. I am a real life grown up now. No more passing out on lawn chairs for this gal. It is time for me to pull on my big girl panties and face the real world. Wish me luck...

the super fabulous road trip of pure awesomeness {1}...

Okay...I promise to quit being a blog slacker. I know I said that two posts ago...but then I got distracted and have been missing in action for a bit. What was my distraction you ask? Well, if you follow me on Twitter you will already know that Bff Jil and I took an epic road trip adventure. I documented our exploits for all of my twitbffs to enjoy.

I have a picture explosion coming soon...but in the mean time I have a game I want to play. This game is SO not for the easily offended or faint of heart. It is a game Bff Jil and I played...for about five hours on our drive to Port Angeles. The road to Port Angeles is two lanes, and with a high speed limit of like 50 MPH. It was ridiculous. We were losing our ever loving minds. I was looking around at the scenery and I noticed a street name, it was called 'Skokomish'. I burst into a giggle fit while trying to pronounce this name. Bff Jil and I had to pull over because we were laughing so darn hard (yes you DID have to be there to appreciate this). Then we both decided to take note of some of the street names on our little journey. We died. We laughed till our sides were about to explode, and then I started keeping a list of some of the names. We then decided to create our own mad libs with the names.

What names were so hilarious? Good question! I am sharing the list with you. I want you ALL to come up with your own little mad lib with these names...whoever comes up with the dirtiest one...wins a prize...well you will win my utmost respect actually. Ready? Here are the street names:

-Tillhicum
-Smackman
-Duckabush
-Skokomish
-Wild Wood
-Keep Trying
-La push
-Fill Her
-Happy Valley
-Hooker
-Kitchendick
-Straight
-Beaver
-Jimmy Come Lately
-Mc Hard Rock
-Flaming Geyser

So, the point of the game is to use these and create a hilarious/dirty little tale. For example, one Bff Jil came up with: "He is going to La Push that Hooker Tillhicum." Get it? Got it? Good. I normally keep my blog totally PG-13...but sorry I am apparently a 12 year old boy and this is TOO good to not share with you all. Alright, blog pals, do me proud (twss *ahem*)!

xoxo
