it's twins...

I have an announcement for you all. It's twins! In late August I will be the proud mother of two bouncing little new additions! I am beyond excited and cannot wait to buy new clothes for them, and yes there is the whole ouch pain part...but I can survive that...I think. So I am taking name suggestions. I have been thinking Captain and Tenille, Peaches and Herb, Dolce and Gabbana...still not sure.
What I am sure of? That my mom is the best mother on the planet and is gifting me with twins of my very own, all because I graduated from college. Oh. Are you confused now? Yeah I am not pregnant. No babies will be had. By 'twins' I am referring to the new boobage I will be adding to the bod come late August.

Why am I sharing this with all of you? Well, I wasn't planning on it. I know some will try to talk me out of it, tell me I don't need surgery to feel better about myself, but my mind is made up. I hate my small rack, I honestly feel like doing this will up my confidence and I am completely at peace with the decision. However, as always honesty is the best policy on this blog so you can share your opinions in the comment section. Oh, and before anyone chimes in, I am SO not getting like freak show Heidi Montag boobs. They will be normal sized and in proportion with my body frame.

Here is my goal. I decided that since I want to do this to up my confidence a bit, that I am going to get healthy as well! Plastic surgery is an easy way out. So, while I am getting ready for the twins to arrive I have a goal to exercise my booty off and watch what I eat, the main goal of course is to lose some poundage but also to get healthy!

Wish me luck! Leave any name suggestions in the comment section! And even if you are TOTALLY judging me right now, just love me through it.

the bitch is back...

Yep. You read that correctly. I am back in blogging action. Well okay this post is technically kind of half-assed blogging...but full ass blogging will commence tomorrow. Pinky promise!

I have been busy as all get out, hence my short little blog hiatus. Mission College Graduate has now been completed. I finished up last Thursday, graduated Saturday morning, had a graduation party Saturday afternoon/evening and have been recovering from that since Sunday.

Plus, I have just been in a funk. Maybe I was just overwhelmed with school and my entire life changing with one little piece of paper. Maybe I was just pms-ing for like three months straight. Maybe I was just burned out on blogging. All I know is that I missed my blog AND I missed all of you. So, I shall return with a real post tomorrow. Until then lovey dolls...

happy birthday...

I am interrupting my self imposed 'blog break' today, but it is for a completely important and legit reason. What is SO important you ask? Well let me mansplain' it to you all...today is the day that former iBff, now real life Bff Ashton was born. Yup...like I said, it is a SUPER important day.
Ms. Ashton is vacationing in Mexico with her family at the moment...and can I just be the first to say I miss her Twitter hilarity and daily e-mails?! Because I do. Can I also say that I am so happy that I actually got the opportunity to meet my political soul-sister in real life? Because I am (please see insanely inappropriate picture below). Can I just say that I have completely bastardized the English language and proper grammer super hardcore in this post?! Because I did.

Anyways...Ashton/Political Soul-Sister/Former iBff/Real Life Bff/Cherrybomb/Shankerella/Brilliant Creator of #Dirrrtymagic, I effing love your face, and I hope that you are having a fabulous time in Mexico with the fam. You better be drinking margs like nobodies 'bidness up in that piece and celebrating your day of birth with some serious shanking.

Happy Birthday Doll! Everyone leave Ash some birthday love in my comments section, or at her blog, or tweet her, or whatevs. Just send some sweet loving her way!

wise words {1.}...

I feel that as of late I have semi-neglected my blog. I love this blog. Joining this little blog community has been an amazing thing in my life however, lately I have just not been in the mood to blog. I have been 'phoning it in' as people like to say. Is it because I don't like it anymore? No. Not at all. It is because I have school and it is my last semester and life has just gotten busy at the moment.

I don't ever want to blog because I feel as though I have to. Which I sometimes do, I want to blog because I love it! So, for my own sanity I am taking a small breather. I need this week to study for all of my finals, and next week to actually take them. So since I have been in a Negative Nancy kind of mood lately I have decided to take a leaf out of Bff Ashton's book and share some inspiration with you all. Heck, I know I need it so I hope it helps y'all too.

I promise once things settle I will be back with some fabulous posts! Also, if I am not commenting on many blogs it is for the exact same reason I listed above. But I still love you all big time!

Now let's all go out and do the things we think we cannot do. Who is with me?

double whammy...

Today is a VERY special day around the H-Family Household. Not only is it the day where we celebrate this fabulous woman....
Yep...she is pretty much the best mama in the world.

But it is also the day we celebrate my little Bug turning the big FIVE.
Um...this is breaking my heart because, when on Earth did she turn five?! I was there when she was turning nothing and now you tell me she is five freaking years old?! I miss my cuddly little baby...but she is turning into quite the amazing young lady.

So while these two events deserve long posts in their honor (which you will get, later in the week) you will not be reading them today. Why? Because I get to spend this Sunday celebrating my two favorite people on the planet, and how much they both mean to me.

reach across the aisle...

It doesn't matter if you are a Republican or a Democrat...the man has a point.{via}

"If you're someone who only reads the editorial page of The New York Times, try glancing at the page of The Wall Street Journal once in awhile. If you're a fan of Glenn Beck or Rush Limbaugh, try reading a few columns on the Huffington Post website. It may make your blood boil; your mind may not often be changed. But the practice of listening to opposing views is essential for effective citizenship. So too is the practice of engaging in different experiences with different kinds of people.

For four years at Michigan, you have been exposed to diverse thinkers and scholars; professors and students. Do not narrow that broad intellectual exposure just because you're leaving here. Instead, seek to expand it. If you grew up in a big city, spend some time with some who grew up in a rural town. If you find yourself only hanging around with people of your race or your ethnicity or your religion, broaden your circle to include people who've had different backgrounds and life experiences. You'll learn what it's like to walk in someone else's shoes, and in the process, you'll help make this democracy work." - President Barack Obama

Thoughts? Discuss in the comments section, please. NO fighting allowed kids.

six senses sunday {2}...

Right now I am...

{1.} Tasting...
A blue slushee, aka Nectar of the Gods. There is probably nothing I love more than a blue slushee. Do not judge the fact that I am apparently four years old and still think that 'blue' is a flavor.

{2.} Smelling...
Something that is burning. For serious. I have no idea what it is...but my mother is doing something in the kitchen and it smells like a burnt chihuahua. That is all that I know. (um...what the eff? i have zero clue where that comparison came from).

{3.} Seeing...
The episode of Gilmore Girls where Luke and Lorelei FINALLY kiss. Seriously I think I still fangirl every single time I watch this episode. Man I wish this show was still on the airwaves.

{4.} Hearing...
Dude. Way to be redundant with these questions...I am obviously hearing the same episode of Gilmore Girls that I am watching. Well that and my mother laughing because I yelled, "Why on Earth does the kitchen smell like a burnt animal?!"

{5.} Touching...
My laptop. I am also touching a cup of water that is now room temperature. Ick. I need to remove myself and throw some ice in this cup. Hmm...maybe later.

{6.} Feeling...
Completely overwhelmed with a side of happy that I got a B on my Midterm of Doom. Overwhelmed by the fact that in three weeks I am done with college and have to put on my big girl panties and enter the real world. Needless to say I am slightly freaked out.

I hope all of you had a great weekend.

xoxo
